Influence & Advocacy Committee visits Capitol Hill
Members of the avtt2014 Influence and Advocacy Committee traveled to Capitol Hill this month to meet with national leaders on federal ed tech policy and funding. Committee members Colleen Terrill, Jenn Judkins, Natalie Croteau, Heidi MacGregor and Karen Winsper attended the Ed Tech Advocacy Fly-in in Washington, DC to participate in discussions about student data privacy, the E-Rate program and the avtt2014天堂网work gap. During the visit, they participated in several roundtable discussions with representatives from the U.S. Department of Education about equity; innovation and emerging technologies; and Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona’s priorities.
Want to add your voice to the discussion? The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology is working to develop and share an updated National Educational Technology Plan (NETP). The Department of Education is seeking feedback from interested parties that will inform the development of the NETP through this form.
