ConnectSafely is a Silicon Valley-based nonprofit founded in 2005 that educates people of all ages about online safety, privacy, security and digital wellness. Its research-based resources include parent and educator guides, quick guides, safety tips, news, commentary, podcasts, webcasts and special events covering social media, generative AI, gaming, media literacy and emerging technologies. ConnectSafely promotes rational, research-informed approaches to technology policy and helps users get the benefits of connected technology while managing its risks. It also serves as the official U.S. host of Safer Internet Day, part of a global campaign observed in more than 100 countries to promote safer and more responsible use of connected technology.
